Momma said there'd be days like this

You know those mornings when you wake up late, call every child by the wrong name, call the dog by the youngest child's name, go to a room for a reason, end up finding a new reason to be in that room, therefore forgetting why you were there in the first place, standing there trying to remember why you are in there only to notice that the clock says 12:30 which is past lunch time and you are still in your pajamas?!?!

It's kind of like -  "Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it" or " You know what happens when you pray for patience?"  I was just purposing in my heart to do better this year. To be organized, purposeful, and to have a better loving mommy attitude. And guess what, God just threw the opportunity right in my lap and gave me a chance to "prove" it.

Obviously I can only do it with God's help. So my advice - admit that you were wrong, apologize to your kids and tell them we are going to have a better attitude about this day. Make a plan with your family and put some music on and get to work :)!

Music definitely can help my attitude. Have you listened to much Jon Foreman? I have a Jon Foreman station on Pandora. It sounds like a pop Christian station if you don't tweak it...but all his stuff is good and it will eventually play more Jars of Clay than Zoe Girl :)Also, accomplishing your two goals of crafting a little bit and taking time to be creative also seem to really help my outlook.

And just to let you know, it was one of those days for me, too. Thanks for sharing the journey.
